Text: Matthew 6:24 KJV - "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon."

If you are living one foot in the Church and one foot in the world, you are actually living both feet in the world because you cannot serve God and mammon. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils - 1 Corinthians 10:21. God hates adultery, therefore whosoever will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God - James 4:4.

As a worshipper of God you are not allowed to worship another god. You cannot expect to enjoy the protection of the Lord while trusting in occultic or magical objects like charm, amulet, talisman, totem, etc. For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God - Exodus 34:14. The Lord alone is able to take care of you - He does not need the help of man or another god.

We are called to come out from among the ungodly and be separated unto God in holiness and righteousness. It is not uncommon to experience trials and temptation. Faith in God will bring you out of every unpleasant situation. Therefore, remember to take all your burdens to him in prayer. Do not be deceieved, the devil is helpless and cannot help you. Make up your mind to serve the Lord God only.

Prayer: Father, I have decided to serve you forever, because there is none like you. Help me Lord, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Reflection: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth - Revelation 3:16.
