Key Text: Leviticus 6:13 KJV - The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.
Where no wood is, the fire goeth out - Proverbs 26:20a. It is your responsibility to keep the fire burning continuously upon the altar of your heart by adding the wood of praise and prayer as you fellowship with God every day. The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out. However, if the fire has gone out, you can repair the broken altar today as Elijah did at mount Carmel.
If you do not know the Lord, your heart is cold. The lukewarm heart of the backslider will eventually become cold, if he is not restored. Which ever is the case, you must arise today and call upon the Lord to kindle or rekindle the fire upon the altar of your heart. You must be born again to raise up an altar unto the Lord.
It is self deceit to think that you are serving the Lord with a cold or lukewarm heart. Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force. You must arise and do something about your broken altar today.
Prayer: O Lord, quicken my mortal body and stir me up in the spirit to keep my fire burning as expected, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth - Revelation 3:16.
