Key Text: Psalm 118:6 KJV - The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
It is better to trust in the Lord than to put your confidence in man or princes. If you have God on your side, who can be against you? The Lord your God will defend and shield you from the arrows of the wicked. Put your confidence in the Lord, for He will never leave you nor forsake you. According to Jeremiah 17:5, you attract a curse from the Lord when you place your trust in man.
Let not your confidence in the Lord be shaken by situations and circumstances. Give no place to fear, unbelief, doubt, worry or anxiety. The Lord will fight for you while you hold your peace, as He did for the children of Israel at the red sea. The counsel of the Lord will surely stand. Nobody speaks, and it comes to pass when God has not commanded. Although He may appear to be silent about that pressing need in your life, simply believe what He has said concerning you in His infallible Word.
God's Word is sure. He is not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: has He said, and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken, and shall He not make it good? Exercise your confidence in God by believing and doing what He says. I do not know how long you have been waiting for that miracle. The Bible says: "for ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Your patience shall be rewarded.
Prayer: O Lord, I have decided to trust you in every situation: help me, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us - 1 John 5:14.
