The Mind Of Christ

Jan 26 2017

Key Text: Philippians 2:5 KJV - Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

At salvation, every believer is given the mind of Christ which enables him to think and walk like Christ. However they can be corrupted when they entangle themselves with the affairs of this life. To maintain the mind of Christ, the believer must not be conformed to worldly standards. He must seek to always know the acceptable and perfect will of God through the transforming power of God's word and fervent prayers.

The mind of Christ is governed by love, selflessness and humility. As believers we must always examine our lives to ensure that we still have these Christian virtues in our lives. To be like Christ, we must love God above all, and love our neighbours as ourselves; we must deny ourselves, preferring one another in honour; and humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord.

Beloved, the mind of Christ goes after the lost whom He came to seek and to save. If we lack compassion for sinners, it is a strong indication that we need to be renewed in the spirit of our minds and that through repentance and prayer. If you have not known the Lord, your mind is blind, carnal, corrupt and reprobate: call upon the name of the Lord today, for the salvation of your soul.

Prayer: O Lord, let my affection be on heavenly things and not on things of this world, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ - 1 Corinthians 2:16.
