Key Text: Mark 9:48 KJV - Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.
The scripture debunks annihilationism otherwise known as the the doctrine of conditional immortality: the idea that a human soul is not immortal unless it is given eternal life. This satanic doctrine asserts that God will eventually destroy or annihilate the wicked, leaving only the righteous to live on in immortality. But the Bible teaches that all souls are immortal, "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into eternal life - Matthew 25:46.
There is no death in hell, even the worms employed to torment the residents of hell will live for ever. The wicked shall be turned into hell and all the nations that forget God. Do not be deceived, no soul will be annihilated (totally destroyed) in hell. The punishment and the suffering in hell will continue for all eternity. Even if you decide to kill yourself in hell to stop the suffering, death will not have power over you any more.
The Bible says that death and hell will eventually be cast into the lake of fire. Precious people, it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. But you can make your ways right with God and avoid everlasting suffering in hell. That was the reason why Jesus came to the world that you might not have to go to hell. The opportunity to get saved is only for the living and not in hell fire. Believe in Jesus today for the salvation of your soul.
Prayer: O Lord, keep me from every path that leads to hell. Help me to make heaven, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea I say unto you, Fear him - Luke 12:5.
