REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS

Aug 04 2023

Key Text: "Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me." Acts 27:25 KJV

The primary reason why many believers are not cheerful is because of doubt and unbelief. What a contradiction! By manifesting an atti-tude of unbelief, we are inadvertently calling God a liar. But God cannot lie; His words must surely come to pass, therefore let us re-joice and be glad in Him always. Beloved, be fully persuaded that, what the Lord has promised, He is also able to perform.

Paul knew the God he served and believed so that while others were sorrowful due to the unpleasant circumstances that threatened their joy, he remained cheerful. The God that delivered Paul has not and will never change. If you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. All He requires you to do is to put your trust in His unfailing Word. There is nothing that is too hard for the Lord to do. All things are possible to him that believes.

Rejoice always and be cheerful for there shall be a performance of those things which the Lord has told you through His Word and His Holy Spirit. There may be a waiting time when God proves you, but His word must surely come to pass. When the vicissitudes of life tend to weigh down your spirit, just remember to praise and worship Him. Be a believer indeed and you will enjoy real peace, even amid the storms of life.

Prayer: O Lord, I overcome every temptation that threatens to take away my joy in the Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Reflection: Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice - Phi-lippians 4:4.
