Key Text: "A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape." Proverbs 19:5 KJV 
        
Men lie to cover up their shameful actions or to escape being pun-ished for their wrongdoing. You may cover your lies so that no man may know but you cannot hide them from God. The Word of God says all unrepentant liars shall not escape punishment in hell. It is the truth and not lies that makes a man free from deception and bondage. No matter how severe or threatening the consequence of your action may be, always speak the truth. 

You lie when you say what is not true, bear false witness, cover up the truth about anything or speak half-truth. And by so doing, you re-ject God as Father and make yourself a child of the devil, the father of lies. He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso con-fesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy - Proverbs 28:13.

Whoever is telling lies in any form, is declaring that they are a child of the devil. All liars shall ultimately have their part with Satan, in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. The only way out of the bondage of sin is repentance before it is too late. Let every sinner come to Jesus now and receive forgiveness and the power to over-come sin.

Prayer: O Lord, I receive the power to speak the truth always, no mat-ter the circumstance, in Jesus’ name. Amen. 

Reflection: But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death - Revelation 21:8.
