NOT A STRANGER ANYMORE

May 10 2023

Key Text: Isaiah 44:22 KJV - I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

God is so concerned about how we relate with Him after our conversion. He says my people perish for lack of knowledge. Whereas, iniquities and sins separate man from God, redemption bridges the gap. Unfortunately, many saved people still see themselves as sinners and strangers in the knigdom. But the Lord, out of His immense love is saying: return unto me; for I have redeemed you. Redemption makes the erstwhile sinner the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Because of the lack of assurance of salvation, many believers fail to boldly access the throne of grace as expected. After salvation, they tend to approach the Lord as sinners, unworthy to come close to Him. The Lord is calling back all such believers who are still living in their past, and unable to forgive themselves. The blood of Jesus has the power to blot out every stain of sin, turning the vilest of sinners into a stainless saint.

There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Therefore, arise and draw nigh to God, that you may freely access all the redemptive treasures purchased with the blood of Jesus. Believers should no longer operate as strangers in the Kingdom of their Father.

Prayer: O Lord, Give me the grace to know and exercise my covenant rights as a child of God, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God - Ephesians 2:19.
