Key Text: John 1:1 KJV - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jesus Christ is the Word of God and the creator of all things. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist - Colossians 1:16-17. It is therefore not possible to live a meaningful life without him. In John Chapter 15:5b, he said: for without me ye can do nothing.

There is no better way to begin another year than to begin with God. When you begin with God, he will guide and keep you from falling into the unseen traps of the enemy. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. I encourage you to begin this new year with the one who knows tomorrow and your steps will be ordered in the way you should walk to fulfil God's purpose for your life. Forgetting the failures of the past, take advantage of the new year to begin afresh with God.

If you have not known the Lord, you can also begin the new year with Jesus Christ, the Word of God. Here's what his Word is saying to you: for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life - John 3:16. A living relationship with Jesus Christ is the only prerequisite for good success and prosperity which are available in the Word of God - Joshua 1:8. 

Prayer: O Lord, in this new year, I pray for the grace to obey you and walk in your ways, in Jesus name. Amen.
