EXAMINE YOUR IMAGINATION

Jan 12 2023

Key Text: Romans 12:2 KJV - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

As a man thinks in his heart so is he: you are the product of your thoughts. Unbelievers are not concerned about going to heaven so their affection is set on earthly things. They are worldly because the god of this world controls them. Believers should not be conformed to this world because although they are in the world, they are not of the world. Every believer should therefore seek to have the mind of Christ.

Entertaining evil thoughts in the heart is defiling and must be avoided by heavenly-minded people. You must strive to be renewed in your mind by casting down sinful imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.  It is your responsibility to stop entertaining evil thoughts.

Taking heed to the word of God, cleanses, purifies and sanctifies the believer. Jesus said: Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. Endeavour to transform your imagination by reading, studying, hearing, and meditating on the word of God, on a daily basis. Draw nearer to Christ Jesus today that you may receive the power to set your affection on heavenly things.

Prayer: O Lord, give me the grace to watch over my actions and heart always, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it - Jeremiah 17:9.
