TIME TO MAKE PROGRESS

Dec 16 2022

Key Text: Deuteronomy 1:6 KJV - The Lord our God spake unto us in Horeb, saying, Ye have dwelt long enough in this mount.

When God saw that Israel became comfortable in the wilderness, He told them to move forward. He took them through the way of the red sea to prove them and for them to learn some beneficial lessons. However, in their disobedience they stayed longer than necessary in the wilderness. The Lord is concerned about your spiritual stagnancy and lack of progress. Now it's time to make progress in your journey to heaven.

Beloved, be reminded that the wilderness is not your destination or place of rest. There are temptations to overcome and some vital lessons to learn in the wilderness before you can enter the land that flows with milk and honey. You are not supposed to relax in the wilderness, forgetting that you are on a journey. Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom - Luke 12:32.

Murmuring and complaining must be avoided in the wilderness. This evil duo destroyed many of the children of Israel and hindered them from possessing their inheritance in Canaan. Are you comfortable in your sin or backslidden state? Repent Now! It's time to move on, striving to avoid any besetting sin as you run the race that is set before you with patience.

Prayer: O Lord, give me the grace to quickly learn the lessons that will help me in my journey to heaven, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God - Hebrews 11:10.
