DRAWN BY THE FATHER

Jul 01 2022

Key Text: John 6:44 KJV - No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Jesus the Son of man is also the Word of God. Therefore, it is the Word of God the Father, spoken or revealed by Jesus the Son of man that enables a man to be drawn to the Lord. Having been drawn to the Lord by the Word of God, man is given the opportunity to make an eternal choice: to either accept him or reject him. It is only believers in Jesus that will experience resurrection unto eternal life.

Men are not elected to accept or reject Jesus Christ, but rather, they are allowed to exercise their free will. As free moral agents we are created with the inherent ability to choose from available options. Of course, the Lord wants everybody to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and personal Saviour, but they must make that choice for themselves.

To draw all men unto Himself, God has presented Jesus Christ to the world and whosoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. It is not the will of God that any should perish but that all should come to repentance - 2 Peter 3:9. The choice is up to you to either accept Him and live, or reject Him and die.

Prayer: Father, I thank you for the opportunity you have given to the world to accept Jesus Christ and live, in Jesus name. Amen.

Reflection: See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil - Deuteronomy 30:15.
