Key Text: Matthew 6:24 KJV - No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Who is your master; God or mammon? Those who serve and are controlled by mammon can do anything for the sake of making money. These are people who vow to make it at all cost, whether by lying, stealing or even killing. To them, it is right to work for the devil, provided that it generates income for them. Beware of the love of money and come out from the company of those bound by it.
Those who in any way help to make illicit drugs or tobacco products available to end-users will come under the same judgment as the producers and consumers. "Be not ye therefore partakers with them" - Ephesians 5:7. Do not allow the love of money to drown your soul in perdition for it is the root of all evil. God commands us to come out from among them and be separate.
Choose you this day whom you will serve; Satan or the Saviour. Satan may give you silver and gold for serving him but his servants will spend eternity with him in hell. Jesus gives full salvation which comes with all that you need here on earth and secures you a place in heaven, if you endure to the end. What shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?
Prayer: O Lord, I want the full salvation that saves and keeps and satisfies the soul. Deliver me from the love of money, in Jesus name. Amen.
Reflection: How long halt ye between two opinions? Choose you this day whom ye will serve - 1 Kings 18:21b; Joshua 24:15b.
